Weekday Breakfast at the Cinnamon Club

My wife and I had enjoyed Indian cuisine at Westminster’s upmarket Cinnamon Club on a number of occasions (we used to live more or less next-door) and we had always had a lovely experience. Maybe it was a mistake to try out their English breakfast (the “Cinnamon Club Breakfast”), which differs from their regular English breakfast by including both black and white black pudding, and by £3.50, which brings the bill (including coffee) up to £17.

There was absolutely nothing special about this Full English, and I’d even dare to say that many Greasy Spoons in the area do it a lot better for just over a fiver. Of course, the Cinnamon Club being the Cinnamon Club, it’s all in a very luxurious, pleasant environment. Many MPs and other big heads have their morning coffee here over a cup of coffee, which is the reason why I waited until nearly everyone had left, to take a photo.

We’d highly recommend their dinner menu and their exquisite library bar (not in the room pictured, but in a much smaller, cosier room with plenty of ancient arm chairs, next-door), but maybe not their breakfast. Next time we’ll try their South Asian variety of brunch, which we’ve heard good things about. Update to follow soon.
